As the political situation becomes tenser in the country, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid and Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi traded bards with the former accusing PML-Q of ‘blackmailing’ the government.
In response to a question during a press conference, Sheikh Rashid said that he will stand by Imran Khan during the no-confidence vote.
However, he was quick to take a jibe at PML-Q saying that he was not among those who were blackmailing Prime Minister Imran Khan for the chief minister position despite holding only five seats in the National Assembly.
Taking exception to the interior minister’s comments, Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi took to Twitter to slam Sheikh Rashid.
He said that though he respects Sheikh Rashid, the interior minister should not forget that he took money from the same party.
